The fragrant buckwheat flowers are like starry stars spreading all over the green land. With a light breeze blowing, the red stems of the flowers are gently swaying with white petals dotted among the green leaves, attracting many photographers.
Relying on the tourism market of Fenghuan Ancient Town, a famous historical and cultural town, Fenghuang County has actively sought a new mode of red buckwheat flowers plus golden tea, and built itself into an Internet-famous tourist destination to promote the integrated development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries.
In 2021 and 2022, the county built a 2,000-mu (about 133.33-hectares) Buckwheat Planting and Tourism Integration Demonstration Base respectively. Based on buckwheat flowers, the county has built the “most beautiful highway, industry, village and scenic area” to inject impetus into Fenghuang’s rural tourism.
